Score 88-90/100 · Stephen Tanzer, Vinous, Dec 2016

(the potential alcohol here was just 11.8%, from the estate's largest-yielding vineyard in 2015 at almost 42 hectoliters per hectare): Bright red-ruby. Reticent but pure aromas of blackberry, violet and mint smell less concentrated but more classic and classy than the Chambolle villages . Juicy, savory flavors of black fruits and violet show just enough thickness of material to support the wine's serious dusty tannins. Comes across as more accessible than the foregoing wines due to its slight element of dilution but this wine nonetheless will need some cellaring.

(from a parcel that sits right below the Nuits 1er Les Pruliers). Reduction. Here too the middle weight flavors possess a sleek mouth feel with excellent punch that carries over to the slightly more complex and firmer finale that exhibits sneaky good length. Dec 2016, www.burghound.com
