Tasting notes
The 2015 Corton Grand Cru Blanc is lovely, leading with aromas of yellow orchard fruit, hazelnut cream, white flowers and fresh pear. On the palate, the wine is glossy, expansive and quite dramatic on the attack, but it tenses up on the mid-palate and finishes with bright acids and phenolic grip. Like the Ile de Vergelesses, this is showing more precision from bottle than it did from barrel.

(a blend of the top part of Les Bressandes on mother rock and stony Les Chaumes, located below Pouget; in tank awaiting bottling): Healthy bright, pale yellow. More refined on the nose than the Ile de Vergelesses Blanc but still with sexy leesy lift to the aromas of pear and white flowers. Quite smooth and elegantly styled, conveying a plush quality to its pear and lemon drop flavors. Finishes seriously rich and long, with tactile salty minerality giving the wine a sweet/savory quality.
