Tasting notes
Good medium red. Deep, dark aromas of black cherry, menthol and licorice lifted by a violet topnote. Enters the mouth thick but lively, a step up in sweetness and depth of flavor from the Carelle. Very fine-grained, concentrated wine with serious volume and obvious solaire character but with plenty of inner-mouth tension too. Finishes with serious sweet tannins and excellent length. This has turned out very well and is quite showy today, even if its element of Pommard-like medicinal reserve suggests that it will shut down in bottle at some point.

Bright, dark red. Purple fruits and violet dominate the nose. Medicinal cherry and menthol flavors convey an attractive restrained sweetness and a fine-grained texture. Finishes with smooth but serious tannins and good reserve and minty lift. Fairly expansive without being at all weighty, this wine spreads out subtly to dust the entire palate.
