Tasting notes
Palish medium red. Musky aromas of red cherry, brown spices and smoky earth tones. Supple and spicy but a bit dry and lacking in verve and primary fruit character. Finishes a bit dry. This wine is not vinified by Jadot.

The 2015 Morey-Saint-Denis 1er Cru Clos des Ormes has an attractive cranberry and dark berry nose, hints of brown spice/cola just in the background and lending complexity. The palate is medium-bodied with fine definition, a strict and linear Clos des Ormes with a pleasant saline finish that just needs a little more depth.
Tank sample. Heady and energetic – a good combo! Racy and with real lift and energy. Wonder who grew these grapes? An excellent representative for the appellation and vintage. Very long and persuasive. (JR)

About the producer

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
