Tasting notes
Bright medium red. Slightly medicinal cast to the fruit-driven aromas of cherry liqueur, raspberry and cranberry. Juicy, dry and imploded; pungent and nicely delineated already but distinctly uncompromising owing to its strong mineral spine. Like Jadot's other 2015s from Savigny-lès-Beaune, this is all about red fruits.

The 2015 Savigny-les-Beaune 1er Cru La Dominode has the best bouquet of the three Savignys that I tasted from Louis Jadot, a melange of red and black fruit, a subtle dried rose petal note in the background. The palate is well balanced with a prickle of acidity on the entry that counterbalances the tart red cherry and strawberry fruit. There is good weight in the mouth, though like the Clos des Guettes, it just needs to carry a little more weight on the finish.
Tank sample. Not that expressive on the nose at the moment, then rather smooth and even a bit dull. Definitely not showing at its best today. Awkward, not that ripe, tannins. (JR)

About the producer

Louis Jadot is arguably the most consistent négociant house in Burgundy. It has managed to straddle both the entry-level and fine wine market, while retaining respect in both.
