Tasting notes
Made by well-known and highly regarded consultant Celia Welch, the 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon (100% Cabernet Sauvignon from three separate sectors of Napa Valley -- Pritchard Hill, Rutherford and Oakville) offers up notes of spice box, cedar wood, blackcurrant and blackberry as well as touches of charcoal and tobacco leaf. The wine displays great fruit on the attack as well as mid-palate, and finishes authoritatively, but with elegance, purity, depth and intensity. Drink it over the next 20+ years.

Corra's 2013 Cabernet Sauvignon is one of the most opulent, forward wines readers will come across in this vintage. Hints of torrefaction, smoke, licorice, mocha, plum and dark spices all blossom in the glass. Readers who appreciate rich, powerful Cabernets will find much to admire. (AG)
