This is a one-off bottling. The 2010 Barolo Riserva Bussia 90 dì is a special wine that brings us back to one of the best vintages in recent years. It shows seamless intensity and a dark, brooding personality. There is lots of meat on these bones. Dark cherry, blackberry, pressed rose, tar and dark smoke compete for your attention. Perfumed floral notes appear on the close.

The 2010 Barolo Riserva Bussia is a powerful, structured wine. Full-bodied and intense, with good depth, the 2010 has plenty to recommend it. Scents of dark red cherry, tobacco, licorice and spice all develop nicely in the glass. I would prefer to drink the 2010 sooner rather than later, before the fruit dries out.
