The 2015 Riesling Bernkasteler Badstube Kabinett (Green Capsule) opens with stunningly clear and aromatic mirabelle fruit intermixed with smoky/stone aromas. Full-bodied, intense and juicy, with a good mineral grip and a certain power, this Kabinett was bottled with 10.5% alcohol, so one percent more than the other feinherb Kabinett bottlings.

Cask sample. On the nose still very much under the influence of recently finished fermentation with yeasty aroma and pear-drop fragrance, but the palate is more forthcoming with a fresh flavour of sweet pear and grapefruit, assisted by an invigorating acidity.
