Tasting notes
Fresh apple laced with mint and cress command aromatic attention, then reconvene for a lusciously juicy, cooling yet incisively invigorating palate impression. Smoky, stony notes combine with cress, mint, apple seeds and iodine for an intriguing, stimulating finish of glowing persistence. Whatever residual sugar this bottling harbors is plainly supportive, but not detectable as sweetness.

Molitor's 2015 Riesling Ockfener Bockstein Riesling Spätlese (White Capsule) has a bright, citrus-yellow color and opens with an intense, clear, ripe and slatey/flinty flavored bouquet of great definition. On the palate, this is a dense, precise and piquant Bockstein with impressive fruit concentration, pronounced acidity, a lot of grip and tension and lingering citrus flavors in the finish. Very elegant but still pretty reductive, this wine should be cellared for seven to ten years but can easily go for more than 20 years.
