Tasting notes
A wine I adored was the 2013 Chardonnay Trenton Road House. Crisp acidity, notes of white currants, apple butter, white peach and honeysuckle are all present in this full-bodied wine that shows zesty acidity and terrific minerality. Drink it over the next 4-6 years.

One of the more open-knit, forward wines in this lineup, the 2013 Chardonnay Trenton Roadhouse is a terrific choice for drinking over the next handful of years. Yellow orchard fruit, smoke, orange blossom and chamomile are some of the many nuances that flesh out on the generous, inviting finish.
The 2013 Chardonnay Trenton Roadhouse is another wine in this range that boasts serious depth and phenolic intensity. The style is dense and extroverted, but also quite backward, as the flavors have not yet fully developed. It will be interesting to see how the 2013 evolves. For now, the early stages of rich, honeyed fruit are just beginning to come through.
About the producer

Kistler’s Chardonnays are some of the world’s most sought-after. This cult Californian producer crafts small volumes of exceptional, rich and generous, yet mineral and precise wines. With almost the entire production sold directly to their mailing list, the wines are also incredibly hard to find.
