Bright, light red. A strawberry and raspberry fruit bomb on the nose, with hints of pomegranate and minerals adding lift. At once sweet and savory but in an essentially fruit-driven style, showing a pliant texture that will give it relatively early accessibility. Still, there's enough ripe acidity here to give the wine shape and finishing firmness.

(this vineyard was organically certified in 2013): Bright red. Reticent nose and palate suggest raspberry, spices, iron and tobacco. Supple and sweet in the mouth; doesn't show quite the size of the Charmes but has more energy and salinity. The very dry finish features spice and tobacco notes and slightly dusty tannins.
