The 2015 Chambolle Musigny village is showing beautifully – focused, detailed and vibrant – with a fine intensity. In some hot vintages (2009 and 2005) some reduction was playing quite a large role in the Pacalet wines – yet in the 2015 vintage the Pacalet wines are standing tall. The nose is brimming with red an darker fruit – some delicate elements of pomegranate and fresh blueberry notes are prensent. On the palate effortless and airy with a quite substantial weight. It’s very balaced and quite cool with a nice support from the tannins and the lovely Chambolle minerality. Sep 2017, www.winehog.org, Drink: 2026+
