The 2015 St. Georges is medium to deep garnet-purple in color with a nose of stewed plums and warm blackberries with wafts of underbrush and mossy bark. Medium to full-bodied, restrained and earthy in the mouth, it has a chewy backbone and somewhat rustic finish.

The 2015 Saint Georges has a pretty, menthol tinged bouquet that opens nicely in the glass - quite modern in style, punchy. The palate is sweet on the entry with chewy tannin, plenty of new oak here that slightly smothers the finish, although there appears to be clean and pure fruit underneath that should soak that up with 2-3 years in bottle.
