Tasting notes
Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 La Haye was showing just a touch of VA on the nose, although it seemed to dissipate with aeration. There is plenty of undergrowth here, quite terroir driven. The palate is medium-bodied with sappy red fruit, balanced but missing a little detail toward the tinny finish that scarpers out of the exit door with haste. Tasted September 2017.

50% Merlot, 50% Cabernet Sauvignon. Rich crimson with a red rim. Light and fresh on the nose. Correct and chewy – sucky stony really – on the palate. Absolutely classic. Without being attention grabbing. Just a tad austere. (JR)
