Tasting notes
The violet/ruby/translucent colored 2015 Château Mongravey offers a tobacco and cedar-tinged bouquet, medium-bodied richness, and a nicely textured, rounded style on the palate. It’s a competent, enjoyable effort that has the class and structure to keep for a decade.

65% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Merlot, 2% Cabernet Franc. Candied cherry fruit, very high tannin that seems incongruous in the context of other cru bourgeois 2015s. Strong varnish notes too. This seems very raw at present. (RH)
Tasted at the Cru Bourgeois annual tasting, the 2015 Mongravey was a little disjointed on the nose, quite herbaceous compared to its peers. The palate is sharp on the entry with coarse tannin, and though there is good depth, it just feels a bit aggressive in present company. Tasted September 2017. I will endeavor to re-taste this at a later date. Oct 2017, www.robertparker.com
