Tasting notes
Showing the ripe, sexy style of the vintage nicely, the 2015 Pomerol reveals a medium ruby hue as well as exuberant, perfumed notes of red and black fruits, sappy spring flowers, smoked tobacco, dried herbs, and chocolate. With medium-bodied richness, light tannins, and a balanced, fruit-loaded style, it just begs to be drunk over the coming 10-12 years.

The 2015 De Sales is medium garnet-purple in color with a restrained nose with subtle red currants and plums with hints of underbrush and cinnamon stick plus a waft of herbs. It’s medium-bodied and refreshing with a chewy frame and just enough fruit.
The 2015 Château de Sales offers light, earthy black and red fruit on the nose, not overly complex, but clean and with none of the under-ripeness that occasionally afflicts this property's wines. The palate is medium-bodied with light tannin but sufficient, lightly spiced red berry fruit. There is just a touch of hardness on the finish, but that will fall away by the time of bottling.
