Tasting notes
Lifted, delicate perfume on the nose, meal and cereal on the palate with layered, leesy mouthfeel and a savoury, apple character. Very slight buttery note on the finish. (RH)

The 2013 Chardonnay Thieriot Vineyard has come together nicely since I last tasted it a year ago. The typical brightness and citrus/mineral driven profile that is typical of this site is evident, but at the same time, the 2013 has a softness through the middle that suggests it will drink well relatively early. There is certainly plenty to look forward.
Bracing, crystalline and energetic on the palate 2013 Chardonnay Thieriot Vineyard bristles with pure energy. Lemon zest, grapefruit, white orchard fruit, jasmine and crushed rocks are all alive in the glass. The 2013 is going to need at least a few years to truly shine, but its delineation and pure class make the Thieriot a real showstopper.
About the producer

Littorai stands as one of California’s most quietly influential estates, defined by organic and biodynamic farming, site transparency, and a restrained, Burgundian sensibility.
