Tasting notes
The 2015 St Joseph Blanc is certainly outstanding and shows the minerality that’s always imparted by these steep, granite hillside soils. Liquid rock, ripe peach and a touch of barrique all flow to a medium to full-bodied, pure, elegant beauty that packs plenty of texture and flavor. Drink it over the coming 7-8 years.

With a little more oak than usual, this Guigal has a very fragrant nose displaying gentle spices and some fragrant and creamy peach fruit. Really attractive. The palate's rich and fleshy with nice taut grip, while the oak adds some structural punch, good depth, detail and balance. Drink now and through to 2020+. A blend of Guigal's own vineyards, purchased grapes and purchased wines. Oct 2016, www.jamessuckling.com
