Tasting notes
Deep orangey gold. Orange-peel notes. Pungent too. Big and intense with luscious juicy fruit underneath. Some spice. Dense and rich. Long. (JR)

Round and smoky – certainly ready to drink. Lots there but I wouldn’t have minded drinking it last year! Long. (JR)
The 2005 Soave Classico Superiore La Rocca (100% Garganega aged in oak) is sweet and long, with richly-textured notes of honey, apricots, candied fruits, spices, roasted nuts. This full-bodied, polished Soave has enough stuffing to continue to drink well for several years.

From its pristine cellar the estate releases benchmark wines for the appellation. While I generally prefer Soave on the younger side, Pieropan’s wines have also proven to age gracefully.
