Healthy bright red. Perfumed aromas of black cherry, blackberry and licorice. Supple and open-knit; a bit simple following the village Vosne but this will give early pleasure thanks to its sweet tannins.

The 2014 Gevrey Chambertin Village, which is mostly from the lieu-dit "En Champs" in Brochon, has a forward bouquet with hints of dark chocolate infiltrating the red berry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, the 30% new oak neatly folded into the fruit, linear but balanced on the finish. This is a respectable village cru in the making.
