From two parcels in the higher reaches of Morgeot. Quite intense and tense on the nose. And then lemony and herbal on the palate. Not one of the most reserved, and probably not that long living, but delivering lots of pleasure at a non-ridiculous price. GV (JR)

The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet 1er Cru Morgeot has an understated bouquet cut from the same cloth as the Les Vergers at the moment. I would like to see more character come through. The palate is well balanced and shows a tad more complexity than the Vergers, nice and saline in the mouth with hints of lime and dried honey filtering through on the refined if slightly short finish. Give this another year in bottle.
