(these 70-year-old vines were planted at the same time--and by the same farmer--as the Cailleret; both parcels yielded about 40 hectoliters per hectare in 2014): Alluring yellow-green color. Sexy, high-pitched aromas of lime, chlorophyll, white pepper and cumin. At once rich and energetic, offering excellent inner-mouth intensity and energy to the fine-grained flavors of lime and white peach. Powerful on the slowly rising finish, which communicates a strong impression of dusty extract. A lovely, sappy wine without any rough edges.
