Subtle scents of pear, yellow stone fruits and spices. A step up in sweetness over the Saint-Aubin Le Charmois but still with a slightly tart quality to its pear and spice flavors. Finishes dry and salty, with decent length. (The Saint-Aubin Le Charmois showed a solid underpinning of saline minerality but also some disjointed acidity, and the finish was a bit rigid.)

The 2014 Chassagne-Montrachet Village from Bruno Colin has a flattering bouquet: subtle tropical fruit, hints of smoke and pear, then hazelnut developing just behind. The palate is fresh and vibrant with a twist of sour lemon on the entry, impressive mineralité and quite an austere but compelling finish. This punches above village cru level and is strongly recommended.
Pure aromas of pear, lemon and flowers. Rich and fresh in the mouth, showing good saline density and a juicy quality. Finishes tactile and slightly phenolic, with good mineral-driven acidity and grip. This wine is a blend of six parcels of vines, the youngest 15 years of age and the oldest 65.
