Aromatic nose of wild rose, black currants and raspberry. The palate is bone dry with chalky texture and layers of sweet and sour red berries, black currants and minerals. Long.Dec 2015

Mid crimson. Much more freshly fragrant than the Gevrey Aux Échezeaux – red fruits with a hint of vanilla sweetness. The sweetness is reflected on the palate, which is gentle, juicy and sweet-fruited, with little sign of the tannins but it does have very good persistence. (JH)
About the producer

Philippe Jouan
The wines of Henri & Philippe Jouan fly under the radar – and, with the current quantities produced (from just three hectares of vines), this is unlikely to change any time soon.
