Tasting notes
The 2012 Chardonnay Lauren Vineyard is surprising, as it is a bit more advanced than the other 2012s in this range. Perhaps the higher percentage of new oak used here contributes to that impression. Citrus confit, jasmine, dried pear and sweet French oak build nicely in the glass. The 2012 is undeniably attractive without being the superstar it can be.

Almonds, hazelnuts, pastry and green orchard fruit meld together in Aubert's 2012 Chardonnay Lauren Vineyard. One of the more textured, layered wines, the 2012 impresses for its balance and overall sense of harmony. A racy, perfumed finish rounds things out.
About the producer

The Aubert wines, particularly the Chardonnay, have a cult following – beloved for their rich, hedonistic style. Created by Mark and Theresa Aubert in 1999, the property makes some of California’s most sought-after Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, all from single vineyards across Sonoma.
