Score 86/100 · Drink 2018-2020, Neal Martin, Jan 2019
The 2013 Baron de Brane has an uncomplicated red currant, cranberry and leather bouquet that certainly has more presence than I expected given the vintage. The lively palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, missing some weight and depth toward the attenuated finish but it displaying freshness and certainly no evidence of any greenness. Tasted at the Brane-Cantenac vertical at the château .

About the producer

Brane Cantenac
Château Brane-Cantenac has been a consistent performer in the Margaux wine appellation since Henri Lurton took over the property, but thanks to replanting and investment in the last decade, quality has seen another sharp upswing.
