The 2014 Chablis Tete d'Or, a parcel selection from 28-year-old vines of which around 20% is raised in French oak, demonstrated a little reduction on the nose that obscured some of the fruit concentration. The palate is simple with sour lemon and orange rind on the entry, nice weight in the mouth with good delineation on the finish. Afford this 12 months in bottle to see if it can address the reduction issue, because there is a decent Chablis here.

(80% of this wine is in stainless steel and 20% in barrels; these vines are situated at the foot of Montée de Tonnerre, on similar soil): Pale yellow. Musky yellow fruits and stone on the ripe nose. Nicely dense and ripe, showing good floral lift to the pear and peach flavors. Finishes dusty, lively and long. Very promising.

A discreet but not invisible touch of wood sets off the equally cool, pure and citrus-infused nose that also displays plenty of classic Chablis character. There is fine density to the mineral-driven, vibrant and well-detailed flavors that deliver excellent depth and length for its level. With a few years of bottle age this should be lovely. Recommended. Oct 2015, Drink 2020+

(20% oak and 80% stainless steel; this wine is made from parcels selected for longer aging than the estate's regular village bottling, but always includes vines in Chapelots and a parcel near Monteé de Tonnerre): Pale straw-yellow color. Good lemony lift to the nose. Precise, minerally and concentrated, with citrus fruit flavors complicated by subtle hints of peach and pear. Lovely intensity here.
