66% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon 6% Cabernet Franc. 10% new oak. Loads of perfume – very pretty and soft. Lovely tender bite to the tannin. Balanced, complete – fairly simple, but good early-drinking claret style. (RH)

Dark red cherry, plum, smoke and cured meats wrap around the palate in the 2013 Chapelle de Potensac. Soft and silky on the palate, with some very slight angular contours, the 2013 possesses lovely balance. Violets, spices and blueberries add complexity on the finish. There is a lot to like in this early drinking Médoc from the Delon family. The blend is 66% Merlot, 28% Cabernet Sauvignon and 6% Cabernet Franc. Tasted twice.
