Nose of beeswax/honeycomb with sweet lemon. Fat in the mouth with intense salinity and caramel/butterscotch richness. Ripe, well-timed acidity comes through on the finish. Long finish.Dec 2015

(from the upper section of the cru): Bright, pale yellow. Fresh pineapple and crushed rock dominate the nose. Fat and rich on entry, with the exotic pineapple note repeating, then tactile and dusty on the back half, with the strong underlying stony quality giving the wine a slightly rigid character. This very young, rather broad-shouldered Perrières finishes with strong saline minerality. But I'm not sure it's better than the Genevrières.

Based in Meursault and farming some of the finest vineyards in the Côte de Beaune, Henri Boillot is a leading address in Burgundy. He crafts fine Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, but the estate is best known for its flagship monopole vineyard, Puligny-Montrachet Premier Cru Clos de la Mouchère.
