Medium red. Aromas of plum, tobacco, menthol, mocha and underbrush, with hints of leather and game. Supple in texture but a bit disjointed and dry-edged today owing to a strong spine of acidity. Medicinal red cherry and licorice flavors are joined by a repeating leathery nuance on the finish, which features dusty, slightly drying tannins. Will this remain fresh when it comes into better harmony?
