Tasting notes
The 2012 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Jeunes Rois comes from vines planted in 1952 on the border with Brochon. Precise and energetic on the nose, there are complex aromas of brambly red berry fruit mixed with orange rind and cold stone. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, superbly judged acidity and a silky smooth, very elegant finish that lingers long in the mouth. This is just wonderful.

The 2012 Gevrey-Chambertin Les Jeunes Rois fleshes out nicely in the glass. Mint and violet overtones add complexity to a core of dark red cherry and plum fruit. The Jeunes Rois finishes with lovely depth and intensity while retaining its essentially mid-weight personality.
