Tasting notes
The 2014 Rosso di Notri is Tua Rita's proverbial bread and butter wine with 110,000 bottles produced and distributed both in Italy and the United States. The wine relies on excellent material with fresh primary aromas of wild berry, blueberry and distant spice. You really can't beat this excellent value. It undergoes a brief fermentation and the aromas are crisp and vibrant as a result. It shows a bright acidic backbone as well.

A juicy, flamboyant wine, the 2014 Rosso di Notri is bursting at the seams with fruit. Black cherry, plums, sweet spices and mint abound in a juicy, intense wine to drink in its youth, while the fruit remains vibrant. The Rosso di Notri is not especially complex, but it sure is delicious. Hints of tobacco, plum, herbs, iron and cedar add nuance as this fleshy, fruit-driven Sangiovese-based blend shows off its personality.
