Tasting notes
The 2014 Citran has an attractive bouquet with hints of espresso complementing the black fruit. I appreciate the energy here. The palate is medium-bodied with fine tannin, good weight in the mouth and well judged acidity lending tension from start to finish. Citran can often make very attractive Bordeaux, and their 2014 is one of them. Nothing spectacular, just good trustworthy Claret. Tasted twice with consistent notes.

The 2014 Citran is a hearty, burly Haut-Médoc to drink now and over the next few years. The coarse tannins this wine showed out of barrel have never really softened.
Mid crimson. Leafy and fresh on the nose. Very leafy and a bit dry on the palate. A touch lean overall but it may just become more elegant. (JH)
