Good pale color. Captivating aromas of stone fruits, lemon, green fig and gooseberry. Silky yet quite dry, even a bit youthfully austere, but possessing very good underlying breadth and richness. Finishes fresh, ripe and persistent, with building complexity to the white stone fruit and herb flavors. May 2014, www.vinous.com

About the producer

Doisy Daene
This Second Growth estate has origins dating back to the late 1800s. It is, however, under the ownership of the Dubourdieu family – who took over the Barsac property in 1924 – that Ch. Doisy-Daëne truly flourished.
