Score 88/100 · Drink 2014-2019, Antonio Galloni, Vinous, Oct 2013
The 2009 Barolo Vigna Lazzairasco has a little more freshness than the other Barolos in this range. Wild flowers, honey, mint and tobacco flesh out in the glass. The mid-weight structure and overall flavor profile suggest the 2009 is a wine to drink over the next handful of years.

Commune of Serralunga. Palish ruby with watery orange rim. Sweetly concentrated strawberry, leather and iron nose. Immense concentration and ripeness with bags of grainy ripe tannins. Almost overwhelming concentration, but with the right dose of acidity. Very impressive. (WS)
