The 2013 Chambolle-Musigny Vieilles Vignes has a ripe, quite “sexy” bouquet with cranberry and wild strawberry fruit. The palate is medium-bodied with slightly dry tannins and a savory, austere finish. At the moment the aromatics and the palate do not seem to match each other.
Nicolas Potel says that the fruit from this vineyard was very good in 2013. Great bright nuanced crimson. Heady and very pure. Lots of lovely healthy fruit. Very correct and appetising. (JR)
About the producer

Nicolas Potel is one of Burgundy’s most talented and connected winemakers. He created Maison Roche de Bellene, the négoce arm of Domaine de Bellene, in 2008, using his extensive network in the region to source top-quality fruit for an "haute couture" négociant operation.
