Seductive on opening, the 2007 Champagne Blanc De Blancs Collection takes on a richer straw hue and reveals more notes of candied citrus, custard, and fresh melon. Medium-bodied, it is a lovely wine with a rounded mouthfeel, seamless and refined, and so delicious now. With even-keeled acidity and a long-lasting finish, it’s approachable and charming, with layers revealing more layers as it opens. Less than 100 bottles will be released. Less than 3 grams per liter dosage, with just one disgorgement. Drink 2024-2034. The sister house to Salon, Delamotte owns 10 hectares of vineyards in Mesnil sur Oger, Oger, Cramant, and Avize, and they purchase from 80 hectares, mostly Chardonnay from Oiry and Chouilly and some Pinot Noir from the Montagne de Reims in Bouzy, Ambonnay, and Tours-sur-Marne. A small amount of Meunier is purchased from around Epernay. When Salon does not produce a vintage wine, those parcels go into the production of Delamotte bottlings. Like Salon, the wines are fermented and matured entirely in stainless steel; however, malolactic fermentation is achieved on a case-by-case basis.

Clearly comparable to Salon from the same vintage with fine youthful purity. The house's typical elegant lime and a little sprinkle of vanilla caramel over the purity. Long and crispy. A really nice wine that has gained a lot from its extra time in the cellar.
Mesnil, Oger, Cramant, Avize. Disgorged 2015. Dosage 6 g/l. Early harvest, end of August. Bubbles look much bigger than in the 2012. Lighter aroma and without the concentration of 2012. Bitter orange peel. Tropical breakfast buffet flavours! A little softer than most Delamotte vintages. (JR)
Bright fruity, soft and spicy nose with ripe white fruit, lemon peel and white flower complexity. Honey and cream. Rich and soothingly creamy palate, with restrained elegance to it. It is starting to develop buttery tones. Highly pleasurable already upon launch.
