Aromas of blackberry and violet. Juicy and on the lean side, showing good cut to its black fruit and violet flavors. This wine only finished its malolactic fermentation in September; the rest of the 2013s finished between June and August.
The 2013 Marsannay les Longerois, a blend of two parcels, only finished its malolactic in middle of September and sees 20% new wood. It has a generous, mint and violet-scented bouquet with fine definition. The palate is medium-bodied with supple tannins, mint-fresh blueberry and blackberry notes leading to a svelte, linear finish. This comes recommended - exactly what a Marsanny should be.

About the producer
This estate, today with Arnaud Mortet at the helm, makes some of Gevrey-Chambertin’s finest wines. Working with 16 hectares, as well as a few négociant parcels, this property makes perfumed and chiselled Pinot Noir.
