The 2013 Sauvignon Blanc has developed into a pretty lemongrass, lanolin and dried herbs character over preserved lemons and dried apples. Medium-bodied with a lively backbone supporting the savory flavors, it has a nice long finish.

Part oak fermented, part indigenous yeast. Old oak. Fruit from the Southern Valleys. Unlike the Churton wines, just tasted, this has a strong varietal aroma – passion fruit and pea pod. Rich, sweet fruited, any oak influence very much in the background but has good creamy texture and real depth and intensity. Just a little sweet-tasting on the finish. (JH)
