Tasting notes
Subtle but distinctive scent: stemmy, black cherry, cedar. Quite light on the palate, but charming. Elegant and dainty. (RH)

Good medium red. Medicinal red cherry on the nose. Supple, sweet and spicy, with a round middle and a flavor of menthol. I found myself wanting a bit more cut and lift. The wine's oakiness gives the finish a rather strict aspect today. Grivot says the 2000 Clos Vougeot is silky and delicious right now.
Black cherry, licorice, earth and a gamey nuance on the nose. Spicy, fat and round, but with little easy sweetness in the mid-palate. Less spherical than the Suchots, and thus the tannins come across as a bit more dusty.
Very lively and tense and on a tightrope – quite a feat for a grand cru! Convincing! (JR)
