2013 Condrieu

(raised for 10 months in large oak casks, one-third of them new): Light, bright yellow. Aromas of fresh nectarine, violet, vanilla and honey, with a mineral nuance adding lift. Broad and velvety on the palate, offering plush orchard and pit fruit flavors that become smokier and spicier with air. The nectarine note comes back strong on the tenacious finish. In an exotic, hefty style, rich enough to work with full-flavored, strongly seasoned foods.
