Palish medium red. Musky aromas of wild red berries and spices. Supple and sweet but not especially complex, with red fruit and game flavors. In comparison to this, the Cras shows more lift and minerality, more guts. Fairly light but tasty wine, with a hint of sandalwood on the lingering finish.

Good medium red. Slightly dull, peppery nose. Supple and solid but with less depth of flavor and lift than the Cras; seems less ripe, too, even a tad dry. Like a lot of vines in Gevrey, this parcel in Mazoyeres-Chambertin was hit twice by hail.
