Tasting notes
Mid crimson. Heady and ripe. Very correct structure with firm dry peppery leathery notes in the middle. Dry finish. Does the business. (JR)

(100% petite serine that was aged in 100% new Troncais and Allier barriques): Vivid purple. Sexy aromas of blackberry, smoky herbs, potpourri and licorice, with a spicy overtone. Pure and elegant, with a pliant, silky texture and fresh black and blue fruit, floral pastille and mineral flavors. Finishes with a fine dusting of tannins, a touch of vanilla and alluring sweetness.
Inky ruby. Dark berries, incense and fresh flowers on the oak-spiced nose. Offers velvety, palate-staining black and blue fruit and vanilla flavors and a mounting spicy element. Chewy and appealingly sweet on the incisive, smoke-tinged finish, which is firmed by slowly building, fine-grained tannins. Quite structured for the vintage and, in Michel Tardieu's opinion, in need of a good seven or eight years of patience.
