Score 93/100 · Drink 2022-2038, Jane Anson, Inside Bordeaux, Feb 2022
Pale gold in colour, beginning to deepen with age. Touches of saffron, mandarin peel, quince, white truffle and cold ash on the aromatics. This is complex and engaging, with grilled apricot, plenty of grip and persistency. Absolutely ready to drink but no rush if you enjoy tertiary white wine flavours. A great match to food. 40% new oak. Harvest September 17 right through to October 7, unusual for whites in Pessac.
