Tasting notes
Biondi-Santi’s 2000 Brunello di Montalcino is a much more expressive, generous wine than the 2001. In 2000 there is no Riserva and the best fruit was used for the Annata. Medium-red in color, it opens with a very pretty floral nose followed by a delicate core of sweet fruit with enough fatness to fill out its structured frame, providing exquisite balance. A lively note of acidity frames the long finish. A lovely effort. Anticipated maturity: 2006-2025. Importer: Remy Cointreau USA, New York, NY; tel. (212) 424-2204
