The 2012 Fixin 1er Cru Clos du Chapitre has a fragrant bouquet with lifted dark cherry and bergamot scents with a slightly digestif note developing close behind. The palate is lively and vibrant with plenty of red cherries, raspberry, orange rind and marmalade. There is very good structure here with persistency on the finish. In a word - joyful!

(negociant wine): Good medium red. Medicinal black cherry and menthol on the rather severe nose. Supple and sweet on entry, then drier and a bit edgy in the middle, with hints of leather and rust giving it a lightly rustic quality. Finishes with firm, slightly drying tannins.
