Tasting notes
Expected 4 November. Great savoury, nutty, refreshing wine that’s not really that sweet. Very revitalising, long, and a peacock’s tail of subtle flavours on the end. You could drink this as an aperitif. (JR)

The 2000 Colheita Tawny Port is a typical field blend of grapes like Touriga Nacional, Tinta Roriz, Touriga Franca and Tinto Cão bottled in 2019 with 124 grams of sugar and a long cork. The last release seen was the 2015, but these are often bottled on demand. The class of the Tawny group this issue, this has the lushest and sweetest edge but equally fine structure and balance. Long on the finish, fresh but sexy, powerful but well integrated, this is brilliant. This isn't even a 20 Year Tawny yet, but it punches well above its weight. Craftsmanship and high-quality fruit make this a big winner.
The 2000 Colheita Port is a Tawny bottled in 2015. This young Tawny is gorgeous and punches just a bit above its weight. Showing more complexity than many at this age, it has fine concentration of flavor on the finish. There's enough acidity to pound in that flavor and it finishes with some intensity, too. This is very tasty and a lovely new release whose flavor will make you drool.
