Tasting notes
(made from cinsault, grenache, syrah and rolle): Pale orange. Fresh tangerine, strawberry and white flowers on the fragrant, mineral-accented nose. Silky and precise, offering tangy red fruit flavors that are lifted and sharpened by a white pepper nuance. Finishes clean, nervy and long, with excellent clarity and lingering minerality. This suave wine has the power to work with rich foods and the energy to give pleasure by itself.

Tasted blind. Cinsault, Grenache, Syrah, Rolle. Onion skin. Pear drops and boiled sweets. Simple, crisp, balanced but somehow the light fruit sweetness and the acidity are not fully integrated (yet). (JH)
Clean, refreshing and classy, the 2013 Cotes de Provence Rose offers up plenty of strawberry and citrus-like aromas and flavors to go with a lightly textured, medium-bodied profile that's perfect for a hot summer day. Made by the Perrin Family (of Chateau Beaucastel), enjoy this beauty over the coming summer.
Bulbous magnum. This is the famous Brad'n'Janet – sorry, Brad and Jolie – wine. It is by far the most vinous of this range. Serious wine with a beginning, middle and end and a dry finish after some savour. A hint of smokiness on the end. Well done, Perrins. (JR)
