Tasting notes
The 2013 Oberhäuser Leistenberg Riesling Kabinett has a complex and very mineral nose leading to a medium-bodied, dense, juicy, piquant and salty Kabinett with power and persistency. This is a highly complex, salty, and persistent wine. Maybe too complex for a Kabinett but there's no argument against this.

Exciting and racy. Lively – far from rich and creamy – but crunchy and it should eventually be rewarding. (JR)
Over many years the Leistenberg has proved that its true strength appears to lie in its charm and racy expression, and no category seems to suit it better than Kabinett. 2013 is no different, and although it may be slightly leaner in style than some predecessors, the delicate citrus fruit and animating acidity are a winning partnership which should give joy probably well beyond my cautious drink-by date.
