Tasting notes
Black! Quite mineral – almost stinkily so. Seems like sucking on a stone at the moment. Very chewy with fruit quite difficult to discern. Interesting but probably a bit too austere to fly unless we wait a very long time. Certainly distinctive with strong terroir effect! (JR)

This masculine, powerful, solidly-constructed blend of 66% Merlot and the rest equal parts Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon exhibits a dense ruby/purple hue along with loads of tannin, extract, and richness. Aging will help mellow the tannins, but patience will be required. Anticipated maturity: 2010-2020+.
Sweet, warm, flattering nose and lots and lots of fruit. Vigorous. This sample softened surely by microx? Velvety flattering wine for the relatively short term. Jagged, hot finish. (JR)
